Bodhranii, the first stop for every Bodhranai, was founded by Cat Lake (aka ‘Bodhraness Catherine’) in June 2001. It took the form of an email-based Yahoo! Group and started with 70 members.
It brought together e-mail discussion lists and web-based clubs, such as the Yahoo! Bodhran Club and the ‘Alans Bodhrans’ Club, under one roof as a wide-reaching on-line community. Today the group has over 900 members world-wide!
With the growth of social networking in recent years it has never been more important, in ensuring the future growth of a community such as ours, to embrace new technology and implement social media into our every day operations.
On that basis we are pleased to announce the launch of Bodhranii on the three most popular social networking websites – Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
